Crochet! 6 reviews
Drg Publishing
Great magazine Crochet! carries some very stylish current designs that appeal to younger crocheters such as myself. The pictures are beautiful, and there is always a little how-to guide with great illustrations for beginners. The magazine also features new stitching techniques and highlights developments in the world of crochet. Introductions to new tools and the tips offered have proven invaluable. Even the ...

Motorcycle Consumer News (1-year) 4 reviews
BowTie Inc.
The one essential moto mag I get 6 moto magazines a month. I read them all but MCNews is the only one I bother keeping after I'm done reading it. It's the only one that does full tests on oils, cleaning products, jackets, intercoms, etc etc. Other magazines pretend to review gear but in most cases they read like press releases.

Magazine great, Amazon Not So Much I subscribed to this magazine based upon multiple sources recommending it. I had been buying it on the newstand so I know it is a useful mag. Amazon, however, it not the place to order magazines. Once you order you cannot cancel the order. Amazon refers you to the publisher (and good luck finding a source for that contact that doesn't require snail mail).
As of middle of May still not ...

From a purely academic standpoint...well maybe not "purely" I'm a magazine major in college, and I'm studying AG this semester. I actually wanted to thank you all for your great comments on Amazon- beleive it or not, they're really helpful for my research paper!
I was a huge fan of AG as a young girl, and honstly, even at 18 I'm finding that more than just researching the magazine, I'm really enjoying reading it. This is, in my opinion, the only ...

Showcasing Some of the Best in Nature Photography Nature's Best is a quarterly magazine (4 issues per year) dedicated to showcasing the best in nature photography today. It's format is slightly larger than standard at 9x11 inches. Each issue is around 100 pages in length with almost no advertising. TOP MOVIE MAGAZINE - HANDS DOWN No question. If you followed ALL movie magazines, even the sci-fi and fantasy spin-offs, quick VHS magazines (remember those!) then you should also remember about the time BATMAN premiered (what great movie hype!) Empire Magazine ran its first issue and then the great BATMAN #2 issue and we have not stopped collecting since, nearing issue 200 now as I write this, it has been a good one so far and ...

InStyle (1-year) 8 reviews
The Time Inc. Magazine Company, 2001
My absolute favourite magazine :-> For the last 8 years or so, I have collected editions of Instyle. I never meant to start collecting it, but it's the kind of magazine I can't throw away because of all the gorgeous photos and quality of this publication. They show the insides of celeb homes (even though they move on a whim and these houses probably have new owners) and fashions and beauty tips etc. It's honestly the only ...

Pillsbury Classic Cookbooks 2 reviews
Classic Cookbooks/Pillsbury
Good food fast I subscribed to this magazine when I found out that over time, I'd accumulated over 20 issues of it just picking it up at the checkout counter at my local grocery store every now and then. I must admit, even though the subscription is a bit pricey, it is a great buy and to me at least, worth every penny. I await it with great expectation each month wondering what tasty novelties they've come up ...

Men 21 reviews
Specialty Publications Inc., 2001
Its raining men I started looking at these mags back when I was in High School. Other reviews seem to compair this to Playgirl. Well I Have vies both for quite a while and think that there are big differences between the two. The photos in Men, seem to have more of a natural look to them. Playgirl does not seem to focus on the art of the male body. They seem to portry them as being way to cold and unfriendly. ...

I didn't like magazines until i picked up a Men's Health Normally I would never buy a magazine, but one day someone at work brought in a Men's Health and I ended reading it cover to cover. Its filled with little facts and figures guys love to know spread throughout the pages in addition to the main articles, which are great by themselves. If your a man and can read, you will most likely enjoy this magazine.

FamilyTreeMagazine is jammed full of information I really love this magazine because, first of all, I love Genealogy! And this magazine is a great source of information whether you are just starting out on your family search or if you've been hitting the archives for years. And it is WEB oriented which is just what I'm looking for as I do a lot of research online. Family Tree Magazine always has new or important search tips. I learned to check ...

For the weekend warrior, DIY'er and the pros I've been woodworking for over 20 years, and this magazine inspires me more than magazines geared for woodworking. The articles are clearly written; the pictures are crisp and to the point (show just what's necessary without slipping in paid name-brand product shots.) And the ads seem to be kept to a minimum (sure, they are in there, but not every other page.)
If you are simply looking for ...

The best English-language news magazine in the world I have been reading The Economist for 15 years and absolutely love it. It has the best concise coverage of news around the world. Its business and economics coverage caters well to my interest in both. Mother Jones 29 reviews
Foundation for National Progress, 2001
Good left leaning muckraking magazine I lean left politically and was looking for a magizine to inform and get me thinking. I tried several others, including The Nation, and settled on and subscribed to Mother Jones. While the magazine leans left, it does so in a more informed and intellectually honest way, as opposed to a rah rah banner waving way. It mixes in a bit more social commentary and investigation as opposed to political ...

Editorial Televisa International S.A., 2002
Ideas on how to improve yourself Many people will find this magazine shallow, but I don't really believe them. I am reading it non stop since the last semester, and I have to recognize it's well-written, it has great articles on health issues so guys can understand it; for example, there was a story on heart disease which was very compelling and informative. You will find exercises there if you want to pump up, I have been using ...

Something for Everyone I'm 25 and I've been reading Reader's Digest for years. I remember moving into a new house and finding a stash of old Large Print Reader's Digests in the garage and I spent days poring over them.

A wealth of information.... This magazine is not your usual one with glossy-pages, full of advertisements with long-lashed, heavily made up models. It is printed on recycled paper and if full of articles from readers and the publisher.

love it Mira (Look) is a celebrity gossip paper that focuses on Latin celebrities. Its not glossy but it sure does a heck of a great job reporting on Latin celebrities. It may not be as long as People but it sure isn't cheesy like The National Enquirer, although its the same size as a tabloid. I'm not embarrassed to be seen around with Mira. Maybe you speak English and are learning to speak Spanish, then ...

Active Interest Media, 2001
"He's Hard to Please!" I bought this magazine for my hiking husband. He had the dream to hike most of the Appalchian Trail before age 70. This magazine went to work in his brief case, and was quickly missed when our daughter picked it up to read in her room. He had an interest in most of the articles. It was well worth the purchase price.
