Miraculously healing music....
I have never heard "No Ordinary Love" played with such overwhelming charm. All tracks are wonderful, but "LA BELLE DAME SANS REGRETS" is my favorite, Sting's voice along with Chris Botti's playing was enchanting. An artist like Botti doesn't need pictures of a beautiful woman with a fake mesmerized look on the cover of his album, but with an outstanding performance like that, some shallowness ...

December, June, February...whenever!
Botti's music is always relaxing and comfortable. I'm inclined to put a bunch of his CDs in back to back on a rainy or snowy day at home and I don't care what month it is! This CD is in keeping with the others - smooth, sultry, polished.

The ultimate mood disc
Chris is a trumpet master and one who really knows how to create a mood in his music. He gets it. He knows how to put his emotion into it so that it's transferred to the listener. The only other trumpeter that puts his soul into his music and that you can hear through a mute (which I think is difficult to do) is Miles Davis. The musicianship is tremendous and his band really adds to his ...

"Midnight Without You"
This is one of Chris Botti's most remarkable recordings along with "To Love Again," "When I Fall In Love" and "A Thousand Kisses Deep." Mr. Botti is one of the finest jazz musicians America ever produced and he's not only a terrific trumpet player but also a talented composer as well. This recording showcases his creative musical sensibility not only for being an expert on trumpet but also his ...

fine "make-out" album
Chris Botti's trumpet playing makes him one of the greatest trumpet players of all time. Chris's sense of timing, his sensitivity when he plays and his energy all combine to create a brilliant experience; and with the vocalists on this CD Botti shines like never before. The CD opens with an instrumental track, "Embraceable You." The other musicians play well in both major and minor keys as ...

A truly gifted composer and player. GREAT music.
Botti is as gifted a composer as he is a trumpet player. As a composer, Botti reaches real, heartfelt depth. The pieces on First Wish, Midnight..., and Slowing Down the World are an interesting and original blend of rockish ballads, mellow funk, and blues-ish soul that no other modern trumpet player is even close to accomplishing. The occasional background guitars are vaguely reminiscint of ...

A Chris Botti Fan
My husband and I saw Chris Botti last weekend in Temecula, CA. He and his band delivery high quality entertainment. Catch them in person whenever you can. As for Italia, we just finished listening to this album for the third time -- in 3 hours. It is beautiful and moving. Nessum Dorma alone is worth the price.

Almost made a mistake...
I ordered Chris Botti's "A Thousand Kisses Deep" on one morning and later decided that I did not want it because of harsh criticism of the cd from a close friend. However, fortunately, when I e-mailed the seller of the cd to let him/her know I had changed my mind and wanted the order cancelled, it had already been shipped. THANK GOODNESS!!! With a bit of trepidation, I placed the cd in the ...

Absolutely wonderful music to chill out with after a hard day at work. Allows all the stress to flow out of your body. Chris is definitely top three trumpet players. His concerts are incredible.

"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"
"At no other time of the year is there a wider array of emotions than the month of December. As I considered material and arrangements for this recording I wanted to assure myself that in each instance the songs reach out to the joys and reflections of the season. I wish you all the best in all your Decembers." ~ Chris Botti ~ December. We're on the last month of the year. It's the time of the ...

beautiful work
I just saw Mr Miller do an opening set before the Sting/Annie Lennox concert in Atlanta. Then he got busy doing the Sting material I love. What an exquisite experience. I was lucky enough to get Mr Miller's autograph on this album and found him to be a really nice guy. This is a great album and one that I can listen to over and over again. The remake of "Shape of My Heart" is ...

Hit The Jackpot
I took a chance on this CD because I love smooth jazz trumpeters, who are pretty rare amid the flood of sax and piano artists. I had the choice between Slowing Down The World and Midnight Without You and had never heard of Chris Botti before. I noticed Slowing Down The World was characterized as very smooth and sensual on the liner notes so I chose it. "Smooth and Sensual" is quite an ...

Love this music
I had heard John Barry interviewed on NPR online in 1998 and he played the theme song to this movie. I was just blown away. I had to download the file, I remember, so I was able to play it many many times, but this was way before mp3 files were popular, so the only time I could listen to it was when I was at the computer. I thought about it for years, really. Silly, I know-- but I really ...

Cheesy-looking, but a truly great album
Being a long-time fan of Charles Schulz's "Peanuts" strip and of jazz, I was very happy to receive this CD as a gift. I had never heard of David Benoit, but after listening to this album over and over, I can say that he is a wonderful, wonderful piano player. While this album, while looking at it, looks cheesy and very much like it's children's music, Benoit's piano trio (with Christian McBride ...

This More-zart CD should be 10 stars out of five.
I have been listening to this CD for quite a while and I still like it. It never bores me. First, the transcriptions are done ingeniusly. Second, all the works are done by different musicians and thus the the play styles are all different. This is really QUITE A DIFFERENT More-zart. For example, Ruhe Sanft is an aria in 3/4, but it is beautifully transcribed in 4/4. At first listening, I ...

When will I ever get sick of this Album?
I can't get enough of this CD, The DVD is nice, but it doesn't show them playing anything from the CD. I love the Paula Cole Duet, and I was surprised to hear Steven Tyler's Voice from Aerosmith. I'm eager to get more of his stuff.
