it's something that you can totally rock with the beat. There aren't any words in the song that aren't offensive and the song lyics go together! When you like a song, you just like a song. This one is easy to love. I loved it the first time I ever heard it on tv in their music video. btw the music video is awsome!

Two gems
I bought this single for the two songs " Blues run the game" and "Mercy". Both are worth the money. Im a die-hard fan of this band and own everything by them. And these two emotinally drenched cover-songs are a couple of the most inspired and beautiful works the crows have done. Ive listened to "Mercy" like 200 times now.

Why the bad reviews - This is GREAT!
I can't understand why everyone doesn't like this album. I think Hard Candy is the best Crows work since August. I absolutely LOVE this. I - saddly - find myself hoping Adam stays sad because he is the true definition of a tortured artist. It's so obvious that he was completely heartbroken when writing these songs. I'm a fan for life. "August and Everything After" remains my all time favorite album. One of the very few I can listen to as a whole, song after song. Adam Duritz has an amazing poetic mind, and Anna Begins may be the most beautiful love song ever written. The sound quality of this version of the album is far superior to the original.
