The Essential Cyndi Lauper 47 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony, 2003
Absolutely Essential This is a great collection of Cyndi's music. I was going to buy She's So Unusual but this album had all the great songs from that CD along with a couple of extra great songs from other albums and singles. Cyndi's music is fantastic and plays well even today (although I am biased as I grew up listening to She's So Unusual, watching her videos, and loving The Goonies). You won't regret buying ...

A Night to Remember 34 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony, 1990
IT'S SURELY "A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!" "A Night to Remember" is Cyndi's third studio album, it was released in May of 1989. This album did not do as well as her two previous albums before, selling only five-thousand copies in the United States. Cyndi and music critics have noted the various battles she was having with Sony. The company was not keen on accepting Cyndi as a songwriter and musician, as well as a singer. "A Night to ...

Hey Now! (Remixes & Rarities) 18 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony Special Product, 2005
I love you, Cyndi! "Hey Now! (Remixes & Rarities)" is a little gem of a remix album with some great tracks.
1. Hey Now (Girls Just Want to Have Fun) (Junior Vasquez Lounge Remix): Interesting version. Slower and more reggae than lounge, Ms. Lauper's rerecorded vocals are quite good. 10/10
2. You Don't Know (TM's Know-It-All Mix): I likes it! The tribal drums and synths are gorgeous! 10/10
3. Come On Home ...

The Body Acoustic 52 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony, 2005
Emotional Ride Cyndi Lauper pens most of her own tunes and she takes some of her best and rearranges them in somewhat pared down versions. Her 'less is more' approach works, mostly because it brings Lauper's great voice out to the forefront where it shines incredibly. A slower tempo on "Money Changes Everything" with Adam Lazzara, gives an entirely new feeling to the song. Its slightly more serious and less ...

At Last 546 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony, 2003
Both delicate and fun! Just got this CD and I can't say enough good about it! The eclectic mix reminds me of Joe Cocker's cover album called Heart & Soul.
The arrangements are mostly great (it's produced by Russ Titelman--did a lot of great Clapton production in recent years). Nice to hear many of these songs in a fresh way, by an able vocalist. It's good because (as the liner notes state) these are songs she grew ...

Twelve Deadly Cyns and Then Some 53 reviews Cyndi Lauper

she's so unusual Cyndi Lauper is such an odd creature. I don't know what it really is. It's like she's not all there but when you listen to her music or watch her perform you see this brilliant woman who comes alive. My favorite is "Money Changes Everything" because that is such a great song with really powerful lyrics. And I love "Time After Time" very much, too. All of the other tracks on this CD are very ...

Storm Chaser 7 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Mute U.S., 2007
More Erasure than Erasure. The EP harkens back to the good ol' days and demands respect from the new ones. Consistent in it's excellence, the songs were already amazing as album versions and here only sound even more enhanced in more than a few instances. There is well more than one track/mix on this release which warrants many times the asking price. Amazingly beautiful.

She's So Unusual 30 reviews Cyndi Lauper

classic 80's I believe the first time i heard this album I may have been 3 or 4, i dont remember. What i do remember is that i loved it. I remember dancing to "All Through the Night" & "She Bop". Hearing this cd again, now that im in my 20's really takes me back to the days of the 80s, when i was little, and music was good.

Time After Time: The Best of Cyndi Lauper 19 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony Mid-Price, 2001
Brilliant eighties rock After one unsuccessful album, Cyndi recorded three albums in the eighties (She's so unusual, True colors, A night to remember) that gave her plenty of success and it is from these three albums that this compilation is mainly assembled. Some of her later albums, though less successful, are well worth hearing but it is the eighties that most people associate with Cyndi.
So, this compilation ...

Feels Like Christmas 5 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony Special Product, 2001
What fun! A very fun Christmas CD, with a few traditional songs, and a few upbeat, nontraditional songs. Her rendition of "Silent Night" is exquisite, and "Christmas Conga" will have you dancing. But watch out, you might still be laughing from "Minnie & Santa". This is my new favorite holiday album.

The Body Acoustic 13 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony, 2005
Covers, New Stuff, it's all here! Cyndi Lauper is an amazing triple threat peformer. She's got a power-house voice and range that I would call the white equal to Patti Labelle, who yes is friends with Lauper. She has written and performed some of the most endearing songs of the twenthieth century - and she has won two Emmy awards for her acting ability.
On this disc, we find Ms. Lauper revisiting her favorite songs from her ...

Very Best of Cyndi Lauper 1 review Cyndi Lauper
Sony Bmg Europe, 2007
Great compiliation One of the best presented collections I've seen in a long time, even the jewel case is fancy! I wish our domestic discs were done up so nicely. Be warned though that the DVD disc is in PAL format so you may have a hard time finding something that can play it in the states.

True Colors 28 reviews Cyndi Lauper
Sony, 1990
Classic Cyndi Collection I've been a big fan of Cyndi Lauper since her first hit in the 1980s. I guess you could say that I grew-up on her. I like the CD album because it has many (but not all) of her classic hits, as well as, a few new covers. The album will take you back in time. Always so delightfully enjoyable as Cyndi Lauper can be.
