The Master Hits: Jeff Healey Band6 reviews
The Jeff Healey Band

Arista, 1999

Depends On Where You're Coming From
If you're looking for your first Pink Floyd CD, you'll probably love this one. It serves as a great "greatest hits" collection. If, however, you're a diehard fan who already has their other major albums, there's nothing new for you here.

Feel This7 reviews
The Jeff Healey Band

Arista, 1992

Basing a review from one song? Not here!
From reading the other reviews here, it sounds like some of them were based on one song on this album: "If You Can't Feel Anything Else". While I understand their assessments of this song and even remotely agree with them, the song DOES NOT discount the album as an exemplary blues record with strong rock accents. The song can be described as somewhat experimental, combining rap with Jeff's ...

The Jeff Healey Band - Live at Montreux 19991 review
The Jeff Healey Band

Eagle Records, 2005

Not Bad at All, Mates
Despite Healey's preference for playing brass and singing traditional jazz, he sure can make that blues-rock guitar sing, despite admitting to inebriation and jetlag during this live performance. It's a sign of professionalism that he can still inject passion and soul into music that doesn't otherwise inspire him. Audiophiles may be scared off by the earlier tracks, but "Roadhouse Blues", ...

Jeff Healey

RCA Victor Europe, 2003

Absolutely Amazing
Before this cd I didnt know much about Jeff Healy but WOW what a guitarist, Jeff Healy has a style which is electrifying and unlike any other. His version of While my Guitar Gently Weeps is spine tingling and the first track on the Album gets it off too an amazing start, badge and running threw the jungle are also great covers. Not a bad track on the album. MUST BUY

This Album is Beyond Belief
I am 60 and have been listening to music since doowop in the 50s. Running across Jeff Healey in "Roadhouse" was a revelation. I just loved that music & recently ordered 3 JH CDS, all very good, but this is BEYOND belief. Every track is stellar. If I look with all my might for flaws, I cant find any. What a talent! Some people are handicapped, by their infirmity, not JEFF, he's unbeleivably great ...

Get Me Some11 reviews
Jeff Healey Band

Eagle Rock/Eagle, 2000

A forgotten gem . . .
In case you didn't know, Jeff Healey's fame came with his 1988 hit single 'Angel Eyes', and you might have seen him performing AND acting one of Patrick Swayze's forgettable movies, Road House. While "Angel Eyes" was a terrific song, it only scratches the surface of Healey's extortionary talents. Get Me Some came after a 5-year hiatus in which the band lost it's contract with it's record ...

Angel Eyes
Its worth the buy, but why wasnt "Angel Eyes" on this best of collection? That was his only song he was known for the sad main stream fans that wouldnt know a good song if it bit them on the butt. What I am trying to say is they should have lots of famous Healey tracks all over the radio. They are not playing any of his stuff down in my neck of the woods~Thank God for Cds. He is a very great ...

Jeff Healey

Ruf (Idn), 2008

Terrific Return to the Blues One Last Time
I was very sad when I read Jeff Healy had passed away. This album is a testament to his guitar skill and blues foundations. These are mostly covers, but they are played with enthusiasm and are solidly within the classic blues tradition. The keyboard work on this album is a delightful addition to Jeff's guitar work. It is a shame that Jeff did not leave us with more Blues focused music. Jeff ...

Jeff Healey

Arista, 1995

Fantastic album...Clapton, watch out!
This album is, as the title implies, a 'cover' album. And Jeff and his band do an incredible job on it. Whether it be Jimi Hendrix, Lennon and McCartney, Eric Clapton or any of the other artists he covers here, each and every song is brilliant. I think Clapton has some competition here! Jeff Healey is a fantasic guitarist, and to know that he is blind as well, makes him all the more amazing. On ...

Jeff's Gone...
... but his music will surely live on. It was in shock and with great sadness that I found out Jeff passed away in the beginning of March, 08, succumbing to the cancer that took his sight. Being an ex-pat Canadian living in the U.S., I'm quite out of touch with 'news that matter'. So I had to find out listening to NPR last Saturday that Jeff's passed on. A quick search on Amazon told me that ...

Hell to Pay12 reviews
The Jeff Healey Band

Jeff Healey's Best Album
HELL TO PAY is Jeff Healey's best album ever. There are numerous great cuts here, including "Full Circle", "I Think I Love You Too Much", "Can't Get My Hands On You", the title song, "Highway Of Dreams, and numerous others. The one that cuts deepest is a remake of John Hiatt's "Let It All Go", which talks about how people can mess up their lives by staying angry at friends and family for years, ...

Jeff Healey & the Jazz Wizards, Chris Barber

Stony Plain Music, 2006

Fun album
I picked this up because it was listed as Jazz and really didn't put two and two together on Jeff. Personally I did not like his previous albums but love this one. You can tell that this is his passion and I hope that he does more. I will buy them. If you like good traditional 20's - 30's jazz, you will like this album. I liked the trombone player, I am one myself, and it is hard to ...

Forever Young: Awesome 80s Slow Dance1 review
Air Supply, Chris DeBurgh, ...

Great collection of 80s ballads.
I'm not really a fan of these "Cheap" compilations that you find at places like Target and Wal-Mart and K-Mart and stuff, but I really wanted to own this when I sampled it at Target, but it was never in stock until several days ago, and I snagged it up immediately. Classic tracks from The Jeff Healey Band, Foreigner, Air Supply, The Cars, Cutting Crew, and more. And what better way to close the ...
