Since the mid-1990?s Einaudi has composed music for a number of Italian films, his style especially suiting soundtrack projects. This film "Sotto Falso Nome" (Under A False Name) was made in 2004 and was to get a UK release, but remained on import, until now. It was directed by: Roberto Andō and stars: Daniel Auteuil, Greta Scacchi, Anna Mouglalis, Giorgio Lupano and Magdalena Mielcarz. Even bettter than I expected it to be
I often have "Soundscapes" on during the day, but do not leave on the TV monitor, as I cannot always see it. However, when I do hear a song that grabs my attention, I will walk over and turn on the monitor to see the name and the artist of the song. Many times over the last months, I would see that the song was by Ludovico Einaudi, so many times, in fact, that I eventually bought this album. ...

Echoes: The Einaudi Collection10 reviews
Ludovico Einaudi

Bmg Europe, 2003

Absolutely beautiful...
Ludovici Einaudi is one of the most gifted composers active today. This collection contains many pieces of quiet beauty. I am tempted to describe his music as a cross between George Winston and Philip Glass, although that is perhaps not fair to all three composers, as they each have unique musical talent. However, I think the comparison works: Einaudi's music does possess the elements of ...

Eden Roc1 review
Ludovico Einaudi

Bmg Europe, 2002

breathtaking
Having heard three other albums by Einoudi including the best of an Le Onde, I decided to purchase Eden Roc expecting more of the same exceptional masterpeices. But I was pleasantly surprised to hear so much more depth and fervour in this work. With guitar and violins integrated into many of the pieces, it just makes some of the songs so incredibly haunting and emotive. There is a lot more ...

La Scala: Concert 03 03 03
Ludovico Einaudi

Bmg Ricordi, 2003

Ludovico Einaudi is fast becoming one of the most popularly acclaimed contemporary classical/composer/performers of our time. This 2CD set was recorded live at La Scala, Milan and features most of his most popular pieces amongst the 21 tracks. It reflects his ability to electrify an audience during the concert. Einaudi is clearly a man who is passionately in touch with his music. Ricordi. 2004.

I Giorni2 reviews
Ludovico Einaudi

Bmg Ricordi, 2002

Simply Beautiful
I heard the title song 'I Giorni' on the radio and thought it was excellent so I looked up the CD on the internet and after listening to a few clips, decided I would buy it. It really is a wonderful CD with beautiful pieces that have really encouraged me to look into classical music more. The flowing melodies are very relaxing and not dissimilar to Nyman's 'The Piano', so if you like this style ...

Decca, 2005

Absolutely Amazing! Two CDs packed with the world's most beautiful classical music...
First, let me begin by saying that I am by no means an expert in classical music, but have grown to appreciate it immensely in the past year. I can say wholeheartedly that this is the most beautiful compilation of music I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. It's simple irresistible. There are few words to describe how emotional it is to hear Pavarotti sing "II Canto", or Placido Domingo ...

Le Onde6 reviews
Ludovico Einaudi

Bmg Ricordi, 1998

Good album from one of the best contemporary solo piano composers
Ludovico Einaudi is, in my opinion, the best composer working today in the nebulous field of "neo-classical" or "new age" or "contemporary piano," whatever you want to call it. His music has a minimalist flair, reminiscent of Philip Glass (but more melodic than Glass) or Yann Tiersen. Out of deference to the cranky reviewer below, I won't compare Einaudi to John Reich, except to say that ...

Music to close your eyes to......and be transported
I first heard this music on the radio. It took a lot of hunting around to get it and I was not disappointed when it arrived. The music is uplifting without being too airy. It has substance and depth. I have not heard anything like this music before, quite unusual & quite lovely. Thankyou.

Amiata Records, 1999

A Hidden Gem
Having intially received this CD due to the presence of one track of Bulgarian choral music, I was astonished to discover the presence of a musical treasure trove! "Sacred Planet" embodies everything an album should be. Not a mere collection of songs, each track leads well into the next, creating a soothing and fascinating listening experience. Care has obviously been taken to blend the ...
