Fantastic
After falling in love with Satellite Rides and Fight Songs, I purchased Wreck Your Life on a whim. I immediately found that I was able to relate to the tunes and lyrics in a way that I'd almost forgotten was possible. The album's absolutely packed with the irreverent innocence and frenetic (and often painful) love that I just can't get enough of. Wreck Your Life is my new favorite album.

The latest album from the Old 97's just proves that a band can keep getting better with age. As usual, the songs are beautifully and cleverly written. an honest & accurate variety of songs that spans their 10+ year career. maybe ppl who don't like the selection of songs prefers one old 97's style to another -- there are a few. some songs are more country twang-ish, while others are more mainstream and poppish. greatest attribute of this CD: next to no audience noise. greatest attribute of old 97's: they are AMAZING live. -K

Love the old 97s and this is my overall favorite cd. How can you not sing along to crying drunk and w-i-f-e? If you are fan, you will most definetly want to get this cd. However if this is your first time hearing the boys, you may want to start off with one of their full length cds first. Here's to hoping they come touring near western, NY!
