REAL WORLD, 2008

PG comes through again
I really enjoyed this CD. It's amazing how cohesive the disc is, given all the different time periods it was recorded in. A good idea during one session may not sound as good when you're adding to it 3 years later, but this collection contradicts that theory easily. All the tracks sound superb. I particularly like Whole Thing and the original version of Burn You Up, Burn You down. I have been a ...

Jim Brickman

Savoy Jazz, 2008

Finger licking good!!!! Well okay.......you can't eat it....
I am a long time Jim Brickman fan. I love his music and my kids love to fall to sleep to it. My only complaint about any of his albums is for the fact of the vocals on them. Why cant he just release a album of piano music. Well here it is, and i am not disappointed. This album is very relaxing. Don't know which song is a favorite of mine yet.. but I am going to be listening to this for a ...

An Ancient Muse234 reviews
Loreena McKennitt

Verve, 2006

So glad she's back!
I love Loreena McKennit and here with An Ancient Muse I love her even more! She has such strength and purpose and her passion comes through clearly in all of her songs. Even the instrumentals are extremely moving. I never grow tired of Loreena and I hope she keeps on going strong! Beautiful...as usual!

Seven Lives Many Faces (2 CDs)19 reviews
Enigma

EMI Int'l, 2008

It's ENIGMA
For me, a new ENIGMA album is a "must-buy." Admittedly though, I can't listen only once through an ENIGMA album and make a final judgment. Nearly every ENIGMA release has taken some time to sink in and take hold (some longer than others). I can still remember hearing all of MCMXC a.D. for the first time and wondering if I liked it or not. Now? It's classic. This (and every other ENIGMA) is ...

Paint the Sky with Stars: The Best of Enya337 reviews
Enya

Reprise / Wea, 1997

Float on the music ... let it take you away
. I have been without my music for four years, and I forgot just how lucious Enya is. This is soul soothing, Celtic music with the beauty of her perfect voice blending over the back-up band -- Gorgeous. I have never heard a bad Enya recording -- so whatever you choose, I believe that you will find a little bit of heaven when you close your eyes and let the sounds wash over you.

Lori Lite

Lori Lite, 2005

a miracle
This cd is a miracle. I have a four year old and a six year old who have a very difficult time falling asleep and allowing themselves to relax. It is a struggle every night. If I didn't see this for myself, I would have never believed it. Within ten minutes, both of my children were fast asleep. Lori's voice is very relaxing and I can't wait to order another cd.

Lori Lite

Lori Lite, 2004

Surpassed expectations
I purchased this CD for dual use: for my clients, and for my children. I was hopeful that it would be useful, but since I know I am quite critical of relaxation/imagery CDs given my expertise as an art therapist, psychologist, hypnotherapist who creates imagery, and conducts relaxation training, I didn't expect to be as impressed as I was. Not only did kids like it, but wanted to listen to it ...

Blackmore's Night

Steamhammer / SPV, 2008

One of 2008's Best CDs
While Ritchie Blackmore is a rock legend (the opening riff to Smoke on the Water alone is enough to qualify for that), he has always been underrated as an overall guitarist; generally not thought of in the same light as people like Steve Howe and Robert Fripp. In Blackmore's Night he has greatly expanded his stylistic repertoire to show that is abilities shine on either acoustic or electric ...

Pema Chodron

Sounds True, 2004

Not only food for the soul, but practical advice
Pema Chodron has a wonderful approachable style which is evident in this audio collection of her speeches. While she is a practising buddhist nun, her insights and advice are compelling for people of all backgrounds. I have owned this volume for over 2 years now and keep returning to it when life gets tough. It is a wonderful companion with practical wisdom and I can imagine it being my ...

Celtic Woman

Celtic Woman Christmas
These are without question the most wonderful female voices I've heard! I'd give them 10 stars if I could. I have seen them live and loved every minute of it. They're awesome!! The harmony, staging, and everything about their production is first class.

William Joseph

Warner Brothers, 2008

William Joseph - A fantastic and very talented pianist.
I first saw William Joseph on the Dr. Phil Show and was totally awed by his talent at playing the piano. I just had to hear more so I purchased both of his CDs. Beyond and Within are both very enjoyable and I will probably continue to purchase any new cds that he would come out with.

Enya

Reprise / Wea, 2000

One of the Best Enya Albums
Enya is amazing. Her music is so relaxing, but never boring. This album is everything you would want in an Enya album. You can tell she put a lot of time in creating this music. So, if you like Enya and don't already own this album, I highly recommend buying it.

Brain Sync Corp, 2006

Changed My Life
Originally, I came across this CD while I was studying ways to increase creativity in my art. I found studies of binaural feedback and then this BrainSync Series. So I figured trying this CD out wouldn't hurt. Let me first say that you should invest in a nice pair of small ear-bud headphones with a nice frequency range. At first I was using large headphones so it was difficult to sleep ...

Broken China33 reviews
Richard Wright

EMI Europe Generic, 1996

Multilayered, somber, and very moody. And, R.I.P., by the way.
"Broken China" came out in 1996, on the heels of Pink Floyd's "P*U*L*S*E*," and just like listening to any solo effort by any of the others, one can hear the ingredients he contributed to the Pink Floyd juggernaut. And here, he had help from fellow post-Waters Floyd bandmates Tim Renwick and Anthony Moore. Renwick played guitar behind Gilmour and Moore contributed to the writing as well. On ...
