Them VS. You VS. Me93 reviews
Finger Eleven

Wind-Up Records, 2007

Odd, I agree with reviewer Anthony on the Fozzy CD
Fozzy's new CD All That Remains Reloaded is really good as Anthony mentioned. However, I also think that Finger Eleven is completely underated. Strong groove that flows with the vocals....they finally got it right, in my opinion.

A Piece of What You Need13 reviews
Teddy Thompson

Verve Forecast, 2008

Best Teddy CD yet
TT's best release to-date. It has a more R&R vibe to it than the previous releases and definitely more uptempo and a brighter mood. If you like a happier Teddy, then you'll enjoy this collection. Stand-out tracks are Jonathan's Book (top form!), In My Arms (great hooks) and Slippery Slope. If you get the chance to see him perform live, GO! One of those rare performers who sound as good (if not ...

Songs You Know by Heart : Jimmy Buffett's Greatest Hit(s)79 reviews
Jimmy Buffett

MCA, 1990

Love It...But I Have A Complaint
Bar none, this is a FINE offering from Mr. Buffett. My problem is, this is the ONLY album most people who claim to be fans of Jimmy Buffett even own. That in itself is a true shame. Buffett has had much better albums/compilations of his work, but SONGS was still the first to put them all together in a non-live package. One can't argue with the quality since these are all Buffett classics that ...

Thank You Australia Concert: Live 197612 reviews
Neil Diamond

Eagle Rock Ent, 2008

Morningside & Jonathan Livingston Segal are HERE!!
It is extremely rare to have concert footage that includes Jonathan Livingston Seagull and Morningside. This DVD live in Australia performance in front of 38,000 Aussies has an extensive song selection from the amazing Jonathan Livingston Seagull: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack OR Jonathan Livingston Seagull: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. It's rare to ever hear this on his concerts. ...

Sesame Street: Vol. 2 - Old School (1974-1979)38 reviews
Sesame Street

Sesame Street, 2007

WARNING: the following content contains gratuitous scenes of cookie eating, viewer discretion is advised.
OK, there is some disclaimer at the beginning of this that children these days should not watch this and that it is only meant for adults to reminisce. I assume it is because of cookie monster or something, seems silly to me. I watched this with my toddler and I think it's fine. It is certainly more appropriate than junk that teaches kids to dress like hookers (I'm looking at you, Bratz). I ...

Small Town Girl187 reviews
Kellie Pickler

Bna Entertainment, 2006

You gotta love her.
Now here is a real country girl who deserves everything that has come her way. Kellie has a great voice, and knows how to handle an audience. It is very obvious that Kellie belongs on a stage singing. Kellie is here for the long haul.

Hotel California168 reviews
Eagles

Elektra / Wea, 1990

Hotel California
I've just "rediscovered" this fine album. It remains among the most timeless in all of rock music. The fact that it is still regular price (and not reduced to the el cheapo section) attests to the quality of music herein. I first purchased this on vinyl back when it first came out (1976). The fact that it's sold more than 16 million copies is another statement of the quality of music produced ...

Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics [Blu-ray]31 reviews
Sam Dalton

DVD International, 2008

Just what I expected
The video quality is excellent; the Audio section allowed me to more fully understand how well my surround sound was working; while quite technical, it starts at the beginning and is easy to follow. It is very worth the price!

Sesame Street - Old School, Vol. 1 (1969-1974)148 reviews
Sesame Street

Sesame Street, 2006

Psychedelic insanity from the 1970s
Like most Americans of my age, I grew up watching Sesame Street. It was considered a new invention to give children some rudimentary education and teach them something about the world while they moppeted and gamboled around the house doing kids stuff. Looking back at these videos, most of which I remembered very clearly when I watched them again as an adult, I wonder what these people did to my ...

Consolers Of The Lonely85 reviews
The Raconteurs

Warner Brothers, 2008

Might be a classic!
"COTL" is a fantastic rock record with plenty of grit and a genuine groove in spots. I hear a little of 70s prog-rock in several of the tracks (as if YES did an impromptu pub gig with John Bohnam sitting in). I love the clever tempo shifts and there are plenty of blues-rooted guitar riffs to set the whole thing alight. I rarely step up to write album reviews but, this one? I dig it, big time!

Just Like You122 reviews
Keyshia Cole

Geffen Records, 2007

Keyshia Cole proving she belongs
Keyshia Cole proves that her album puts her in the elite of r&b ladies . I think everyone knows let it go, heavan sent and the other tracks she has released . Keyshia boats a impressive list of guests from Missy Elliott to lil Kim along with P.Diddy . Keyshia's vocal abilites really shine on this effort as she proves to be one of the best female vocalists on the scene .The cd appears to me to ...

Closer594 reviews
Josh Groban

Reprise / Wea, 2003

I heard the commercial...
Some night long ago, I was watching television and the commercial for this cd came on - Groban was singing "Oceano" throughout and, simple as that, I was addicted. Though filled with songs that are in Italian, French, and some other languages I can't reasonably understand the lyrics in given my history with language classes, I love the cd. Any fan of Groban's will love this CD, and songs like ...

Its awesome-----.

Wish You Were Here692 reviews
Pink Floyd

Capitol, 2000

A high water mark for Pink Floyd
This 1975 album is a favorite of mine by Pink Floyd for any number of reasons; the band was in top form, the tracks are very imaginative and on a more personal note, my Pink Floyd obsessed (high school) graduating class selected the track Wish you Were Here to accompany the graduation procession. As I recall, I had suggested Welcome to the Machine... As far as the overall mood of the album ...

The Wiggles: You Make Me Feel Like Dancing4 reviews
Murray Cook, Anthony Field

Warner Home Video, 2008

My boys can't stop dancing!!
My boys and I love this video. We also purchased "Pop go the Wiggles" this summer, which is cute, but not as much fun as this one. As much as I've said I'm sick of the Wiggles (we're going on 3 years of listening to them!!), I must say I find myself dancing to this one with my 3 and 5 year old boys. It's a lot of fun.
