Put one of these caps on the end of a Boomwhackers Tube and presto- boomo!, youve lowered the tone by an octave! (Thats 8 notes if youre counting.) Play the tubes as usual or hold them vertically and tap on the floor, etc., as a "stamping" tube. Placing Tube Caps on the higher octave tubes, creates the same tones as the bass octave tubes; Placing them on the bass octave tubes, takes it down another octave, making a 3-octave range possible.

Great teaching tool.
Boomwhackers are wonderful for teaching children or adults elementary music. They are virtually indestructible and can be use in a variety of teaching situations. And that are very resonable in price. I do recommend also purchasing the Octavator caps.

Good Addition
The caps were a great addition to the Whacky Music Boomwhackers set. The caps change the tone and our grown kids took over the gift to our grandson so they could play tunes. We had never heard of this product, took a chance as the description of the boomwhackers and enjoyed a different type of musical instrument.
