Ironically, it's not for kids
I have been reading the reviews of kids smashing these guitars -- which is of course amusing.
DO NOT buy any guitar for little kids unless you are going to spend time with them. Teach them to not treat it as a toy. Don't just hand it over to them -- of course they will use it as a blunt instrument. OF COURSE the strings will be off the guitar in an hour!

Good Quality Stand
I bought this for my daughter, a beginning flute player. She says she likes it better than the stands at school. It folds down to an easily storable size, and when fully assembled, it can adjust and pivot at several joints. It's not too heavy for her to comfortably move around, but it has enough weight that I'm not worried it's going to tip over when she puts her music book on it.

Perfect first guitar
We bought this guitar for my 9 year old son. He loves it. It plays just like a full size guitar only smaller. He is now taking lessons with this guitar. The only problem I can see is that the finish scratches easily.

Great ukulele for the price!
I bought this ukulele for my daughter to learn on and to take on campouts. It gets a lot of use. It sounds great and it holds up well. I also have an Oscar Schmidt ukulele, but the First Act gets more use. Because it is so inexpensive, we take it with us on the go and pass it to whoever wants to try it without having to worry about damaging it.

This is a nice addition for a new guitar. I have already used one of the strings and we haven't had the guitar for a full month yet. The picks seem extraordinarily big and there are no instructions as to how to put the strap on the guitar. But, since this is the only beginners kit I could locate, it suffices.
