Phantoms200 reviews
Dean Koontz

Berkley, 2002

The perfect horror novel

+ The Story Koontz Loves But Wishes He Never Wrote
+ Why mess with a classic?

I call it perfect because this story is nerve-wrackingly believable. Koontz is a great story-teller inherently and given such a tale as this spins a mind-boggling yarn. Just imagining myself in such a town made my mouth go dry instantly. The "Ancient Enemy" is truly a dangerous adversary.

+ all over, pretty good

"'Salem's Lot" is the second novel written by Stephen King. At that time to write a novel took him around two years. He wasn't as prolific as he now is and his "writing formula" was new to him and to readers. I first read this book in its Spanish translation, when it was just edited and enjoyed it ...
