Mark (Pocket Canon) 4 reviews
Grove Press, 1999
Best and Most Cryptic Gospel w/ great intro
+ beautiful little book, who cares about nick cave!
I gather from the other extremely negative reviews that the British edition of this book has an introduction written by Nick Cave. While I'm sure Nick Cave's commentary on Mark is wonderful, so is the introduction by Barry Hannah in the American edition. Barry Hannah, a hilarious and ...

Some Memories of Drawings Georgia O'Keeffe
An Atlantis Editions Book, 1988
This beautiful book is a collection of Georgia O’Keeffe’s major drawings, done between 1915 and 1963. Each drawing is accompanied by the artist’s comments, usually on how, why, where, or when she made the drawing. A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again: Essays and Arguments 93 reviews David Foster Wallace
Back Bay Books, 1998
Literate Gonzo
+ What a tragedy to have lost such a genius. + Wallace on a Cruise Ship?
David Foster Wallace--may he R.I.P.--is one of my very favourite non-fiction writers. I'd categorize his style as a sort-of literate new journalism; while DFW is definately the main character of every essay here (even when he's purportedly talking about, say, David Lynch, DFW's distinctive voice ...

Idol Records, 2005
Consistently Great Music
+ Rocked Annapolis + Recently heard on 92.9 in Atlanta
Watershed has been producing excellent music since I can remember. Catchier and more upbeat than their somewhat-depressing "Hurts/Works" album. I didn't take to this album on first listen, but I can't seem to take it out of the player lately.
I still can't figure out why these guys haven't run ...
