The Book of Lost Tales 2 (History of Middle-Earth) 2 reviews J.R.R. Tolkien
HarperCollins Publishers Ltd, 1992
Great book: the best of the lost tales

Most important for me was the detailed war of gondolin, and the tale of Tuor. When I read the Silmarillion, this tale went a little quick to give way ...

In the world of Tolkien artwork, two artists sit at the top of the heap: Alan Lee and John Howe. These two artists have devoted a lot of ink to sketching scenes from J.R.R. Tolkien's masterworks, and in the "Lord of the Rings Poster Collection 2," we get to see some of Lee's best work.

If you are looking or a biography, you will not find it here. This volume is not like the wonderful biography by Carpenter. It is not coherent book with beginning, middle and summary.
