Champions of the Force (Star Wars: The Jedi Academy Trilogy, Vol. 3) 116 reviews Kevin Anderson
Spectra, 1994
A Fine Book!
+ What a great finale to the Jedi Academy Trilogy.
I love the Jedi Academy Series and I love this book. I really like this book out of the series. A great way to wrap up a fantastic series.
Not much more to say, I just loved this book very much.

The Crystal Star (Star Wars (Random House Paperback)) 170 reviews Vonda Mcintyre
Spectra, 1995
For mature thoughtful readers
+ SW Book for Lit Fans
As I read some of the reviews for this book I just couldn't resist having a reaction. This is the one book that I keep recalling in my mind about once every few months.
I enjoyed the fact that the kids were the main characters, for multiple reasons: they to some degree come to age in this book ...

+ Fun in spite of continuity conflicts with the films (that came after this book was written) + A VERY good start to an intriguing series
Some of the boys really like the smaller Star Wars novels. I have tried to get what they request for summer reading.

Isard's Revenge (Star Wars: X-Wing Series, Book 8) 117 reviews Michael A. Stackpole
Spectra, 1999
The triumphant return!
+ Another great x-wing book.
As far as I'm concerned, this book ties for my favorite X-wing book, coming in dead-even with The Bacta War. I like that the threads of the surrounding universe are pulled together here, starting with the attack on the Bilbringi Shipyards from the finale of The Last Command. It was an excellent ...

Specter of the Past (Star Wars: The Hand of Thrawn, Book 1) 225 reviews Timothy Zahn
Spectra, 1998
Zahn's triumph
+ A worthy "follow-up" to the Thrawn trilogy
I really, really enjoyed Tim Zahn's retur to the Star Wars universe, especially since this actually makes political sense. Though I enjoyed the Thrawn trilogy, Thrawn himself was rather annoying, as I am sure that he was to Luke, Leia et al, since he was so good at making their lives miserable. ...

The Truce at Bakura (Star Wars) 165 reviews Kathy Tyers
Spectra, 1994
This is the best place to start reading the SW novels!
+ Our heroes are back!
The Truce at Bakura is hands-down the best place to start reading the novels if you're looking to pick up right after Return of the Jedi. The book starts the very next day after Vader kills the Emperor. Luke and Leia team up with an unlikely ally to defeat a common enemy. Follow this book up ...

Rogue Squadron strikes again
+ Satisfying conclusion to the first X-wing story arc + Putting Iceheart on Ice...
The Bacta War is the fourth book in the X-wing series. Mr. Stackpole has done an admirable job with the first three, and he continues to do so with this one. All of these books are great fun to read. The characters grab your attention, and the action sequences are outstanding. The reader also ...

Children of the Jedi (Star Wars) 176 reviews Barbara Hambly

Coffee cups??
An already mediocre book in which the author places "coffee cups" in the Millennium Falcon. The author appears to have been simply cashing in on the book deal without any real understanding of the Star Wars universe. She could have called them anything else, and this reader would not have wanted ...

Han Solo is Back!
+ QUALITY PAPERBACKS + Great Solo Adventure
James Luceno is only getting his feet wet in the Star Wars universe, but the Robotech veteran gets things steaming right along after a slow first quarter. The dialogue at first is a little ponderous, with drawn-out statements that seem a little wrong, but it gets better.
The character of Han ...
