Amanda Pig and Her Big Brother Oliver: Level 2 (Easy-to-Read, Puffin) 1 review Jean Van Leeuwen
Puffin, 1994
My four-year-old loves this book
My 4-year-old fell in love with this book, and others in the series. Short, repetitive sentences, humorous stories, and appealing animal characters made it a hit; it's also helping her learn to read. Good choice for toddlers as well as preschoolers and early readers.

The Amazing Bone 21 reviews
Farrar, Straus and Giroux (BYR), 1976
Wonderful, and no less so for being a bit strange
+ A classic! + Steig's Amazing Bone
Our two children, ages 3 and 6-1/2, absolutely LOVE this story, and we love reading it to them, as it is a very fun book to read aloud.
