A New Earth (Oprah's Book Club)1215 reviews

Dutton, 2007

Ancient Wisdom

+ A life-changing book, even for the impossible me.
+ An Important Book

I loved this book am re-reading it, and have bought and recommended it to others. I find the ancient spiritual philosophy to be a refreshing change from the 'noise' from modern religions. This book and philosophy are profound and simple; zen for the common man.

The Secret2223 reviews

Beyond Words eBook, 2007

Are there others out there?

+ Dynamite.
+ An easy read

Good book but many others out there that are better... but easy reading. This explains the Law of Attraction through interviews however, I recommend Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret Workbook because it gives examples, in the narrative and exercises to show you how to ask, believe and receive.

Anti-Christ: A Satirical End of Days2 reviews

Booklocker, 2007

God, are you there? If so, are you laughing as hard as me?

+ Symbolic of America Today

The author is clearly angry at society. He rips on the Church, politics, self-help groups, corporations, and even God! Judging by how screwed up the planet is can you blame him? This is a fun read following a guy's journey through Heaven and back. But come on, Mexicans sneaking into Heaven! ...

The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao170 reviews

Riverhead, 2007

Worth the spanish dictionary!!

+ Well-deserving of the Pulitzer!
+ a blend of two worlds
+ A delectable Dominican dish of (mostly) unsavory, (oft cursed) characters
+ Wow for Wao
