Learning to Bow: Inside the Heart of Japan 44 reviews Bruce Feiler
Harper Perennial, 2004
These are the books I search for.
+ Still don't know how to bow, but at least I learned a few things about Japanese and American culture
I really like learning about Japan through the eyes of an American, and this American speaks fluent Japanese and has a pretty good sence of humor. I really enjoyed his year in this little "city".

Den of the White Fox
+ a samurai adventure with a twist
It's a shame to see that this book is out of print. I found it when I was ten, and loved it. This should be required reading for fifth graders everywhere. It has a very fine story, with unexpected twists and endearing characters that make you wish you owned the rest of the series featuring these ...
