Rand McNally

Rand McNally & Company, 2005

Good stuff!

These flashcard make learning world facts just a little less boring. Good for car travel. Each card is easy to handle, well made, has facts which are interesting even for grown ups. We dole these out a few at a time and use them for study starters or conversation starters.

Best geography workbook

+ wish they made an advanced version!
+ great books!

The only negative thing is that they don't have more volumes published! We are a very geography-oriented homeschool family and I have spent hours online looking for good geography workbooks for kids-- this is tops. High quality paper, colors, exercises encompassing maps, countries' data, "did you ...

Atlas of American History1 review

Perfect complement for a reading of American history (or parts thereof)

Excellent book. As a lover of maps, I especially enjoyed the maps of events that are not usually included in historical atlases, i.e., especially those about early America. These include the territories comprising Holland's and Sweden's settlements, as well as the maps surveying the Plymouth ...

Perfect for a kid

+ Great Map
+ Map of the world

I bought these for my son's 9th b-day, I hung it on his wall with blue painters tape, We didn't need anything fancy just something that if he had a question he could go look it up himself. It's not the worlds sturdiest map, but if you are looking for something simple it's perfect.

Love it!

I am a homeschooling mom with 5 kiddos. I got these workbooks for my 9 and 7 year olds. There are great! they introduce basic map and geography skills. The lessons are short and not overwhelming. My 9year old worked totally independantly and my 7yo did most on her own too. the pages are ...

Rand McNally Schoolhouse Intermediate World Atlas1 review

Rand McNally & Company, 2005

Basically useless, just a pretty booklet

We had purchased this book for our 11-year-old son, and quickly found it insufficient. So it went to our 9-year-old. We tried to use it for fourth grade homework this week, and it has so little information it's not even funny. It wasn't helpful at all. It's a pretty book though. It would be ...

Great Student Assistance

I am a fifth grade classroom teacher in California and recently purchased one of these laminated U.S. and World Maps for each of my students. Mini atlas

This atlas was OK for overall view of the world, but not for study of maps or individual countries around the world. The detail was limited both on the maps as with the countries. Could have used more information on natural resources, animals or plants of an area, statistics, or cultural tidbits ...

Rand McNally Answer Atlas: The Geography Resource for Students (Rand McNally)3 reviews

A great all-purpose atlas

+ A terrific atlas!
+ Great for everyone

This atlas gets constant use. It sits right next to my desk for all those times when you just need to know what the highest five mountains in the world are, or what the population of Djibouti is. I have yet to encounter a general geographical or basic demographic question the Answer Atlas can't ...
