A Hard Rain (Star Trek The Next Generation) 20 reviews Dean Wesley Smith
Star Trek, 2002
Shallow but enjoyable
+ Fun, Light Escapade
This book is written in a fairly shallow, somewhat tongue-in-cheek fashion. With this author it is hard to tell if that shallow style is deliberate or not. Anyway, this does not read as a really serious or tense book, despite the situation the Enterprise is in. However it is definitely enjoyable. ...

Articles of the Federation (Star Trek) 18 reviews Keith R. A. DeCandido
Star Trek, 2005
Gonna have to disagree with accusations of American chauvanism...
+ One of the best
"Articles of the Federation" is a very good book -- it's my second-favorite Trek novel, after "Spock's World." It's not without its flaws -- several plotlines mirror plots from "The West Wing" a little too closely for my tastes, and I find some of the novel's assumptions about separation of powers ...

Starfleet Year One (Star Trek) 18 reviews Michael Jan Friedman
Star Trek, 2002
Everything ENTERPRISE should have been
+ Best Star Trek Novel I've Ever Read + Good Book
As some reviewers are unaware, this book was written well before ENTERPRISE appeared on television. Starfleet: Year One is a truer Trek and would have been a better premise for a Trek prequel. I like ENTERPRISE, but I liked Starfleet: Year One even more. Very well done.

This is a pretty decent book. I love make-up effects so I thought I'll love this book. Well, it could've been a LOT worse. The pictures in the book was great. Some of the pictures on the were inapporiate. I saw several pictures on the cover of Stewart, Brooks, Shatner, and other actors w/o special ...
