Bleeding Kansas 37 reviews Sara Paretsky
Putnam Adult, 2008
Near Miss
Sara Paretsky is, of course, best known for her V.I. Warshawski detective series, a series that has long chronicled the life of one of the best known female detectives in the world of fiction. Her readers, me among them, carry a little "character comfort" into each of the new books in that series ...

Little, Brown and Company, 2007
One of my favs
+ Fun little read for the airport
I've read many of Patterson's books but this was one of my favorites. In fact, I liked it so much, I read it again once I finished it the first time. What I like most about the book was the angle it comes from - something different, fresh and capturing.

Change of Heart: A Novel 183 reviews Jodi Picoult
Atria, 2008
excellent book
+ Overall solid Picoult
This is one of the best books I have read. It reminds me of The Green Mile. She tells this story from different viewpoints. She includes ideas from a rabbi, a priest and the gnostic scriptures. Her characters are well developed and believable. I loved this book and did not want it to end.
