EXTREME ACTION
+ The Invasion Begins + AN INTRIGUIGING NOVEL!
This book opens with a battle and from that point it stays a battle throughout the entire book! it is so detailed you feel like your there! J. robert King is the second best author in the magic the gathering crew. Jeff grubb being the first. But this is an excellent book for the action seeker ...

A Very Cool Cycle
+ Good, real good + Outlaw
Outlaw: Champions of Kamigawa
By: Scott McGough
Well, first off, I'll say this; this is another cycle that needs that better editing. It is rather annoying to get going and then have to stop and re-read something a couple of times to understand it.
Now with that out of the way, I'll get on ...

Great book
+ Good Book + Great Book, Some Flaws
I enjoyed this book alot it set everything up very well for the final confrentation between Laquatus and Kamhal, and how the Order and the Cabal interact with each other, and dealing with the power of the Mirari. Good wrap up book that made you wonder what could happen in Onslaught.

+ Fantastic Ending
I don't like to give away any parts of the books in my reviews so I am just going to say that all 3 books in this series were excellent. I enjoyed Outlaw, Betrayers and Saviors very much and highly recommend all 3. Probably the best written of all the magic books I have read. Great job Scott.

Planeswalker (Magic: The Gathering: Artifacts Cycle, Book II) 32 reviews Lynn Abbey
Wizards of the Coast, 1998
Quite nice
I'm surprised on how low rated this book is. I really enjoyed it! Unlike other books in the Magic: the Gathering line, it's not simply all battles and fighting and junk. It explores the psychology of being a planeswalker, and Urza's struggle with guilt and insanity. It's very character driven, a ...

Lorwyn: Lorwyn Cycle, Book I (Magic: the Gathering) 3 reviews Scott McGough, Cory J. Herndon
Wizards of the Coast, 2007
For those who like your Elves on the Nazi side
+ Rated 4 for Magic players; rated 3 for other fantasy buffs + An interesting read
Most MTG book I find on the boring side. This book was not. In fact, it was hard to put down. More so than most MTG novels, this novel really gives us the feel of Lorwyn, including the attitudes of the various races. The elves come across as Nazis, even so far as their desire to commit genocide ...
