Imagery of Lynching: Black Men, White Women, and the Mob 2 reviews Dora Apel
London, 2004
Erudite, Incisive, But Mostly Text and Few Photos
+ Good buy, great for classroom use

On the Courthouse Lawn: Confronting the Legacy of Lynching in the Twenty-first Century 3 reviews Sherrilyn A. Ifill
Beacon Press, 2007
Highly recommended!
+ On the Courthouse Lawn + A must read for blacks as well as whites.
