Insects thank Cat in the Hat for good PR

+ Great Fun!

I got this book for a 4 yr old daughter of a friend and she's now intrigued by the insect world. Personally I love how the bumble bee illustration has taught her about how bees communicate through the bumble bee "dance." On the whole, it's nicely educational on an introductory level -- general ...

I purchased three books from this series. My 7 year old Granddaughter loves them, and I am relearning things that I have forgotten. She entertains both her Dad and myself with all the facts she's learning. I am going to purchase all of the rest of the series. Really great books.

ANOTHER GREAT ADDITION TO A GREAT LEARNING SERIES.

THis time we go to the sea and learn about the ecology of that wonderful place. Per usual, the art work is wonderful and the kids all seem to love it, which, if you think about it, is the best indorsement you can get for a children's book. This is a beginner book and between the delightful text ...

Mostly good, last page very ill informed!

This is the latest addition to the Cat In the Hat Learning Library. We have all of this set and I highly recommend each of them, except this one. I am a professional naturalist for the National Park Service and my five year old son just eats this stuff up. Unfortunately, after the Cat In The Hat ...

Oh the Things You Can Do That are Good for You! (The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library)
Dr. Seuss

Picture Lions, 2002

This title and others form part of a series of books that takes an off-beat look at nature and natural sciences through a fun combination of Seussian rhymes and zany illustrations. Aimed at early readers - from four to seven year olds - the books are designed to bridge the gap between concept books written for preschoolers and more formal non fiction titles that require fluent reading skills. By ...

Inexplicably fun

+ Great fun book about space for little and big ones.

My son sees this book at his doctor's office and begged for his own copy. He's usually a truck guy, so I don't understand his attraction to this book, but he definitely strongly likes it. And, heck, there's no harm in him learning the names of planets and a bit about space! Great book.

'Too much information

This book is way too wordy and confusing for small children. My daughter is 4 and usaully has no problem with books for a slightly older crowd. But this book is overwhelming with about 15 different pictures and captions per page. Not a good learning book.
