The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Book 1)1097 reviews
Lemony Snicket

Lousy

+ The Creepy Children
+ Great Beginning

Absolutely enchanting. If grief and horror could ever be so practically and charmingly applied in the real world, it would probably be a better place. The writing style may off-set some, but it's quirky, odd, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's an off-beat story with unexpectedly powerful heart.

+ Lemony Snicket's Penultimate Peril
+ Exactly as described

Ah, now nice! Our favorite little orphans-of-tragedy get to hang out with some rich relatives in a snobby apartment building! + ?VERY GOOD !!

This is possibly the best book in the entire series, in my opinion. Maybe it's the fact that I'm a water baby. Or maybe I'm a sucker for geeky people. Or maybe I just think the mystery, drama, and humor in this one was excellent! Whatever the reason, this was a series highlight for me. And to ...
