Beautiful Life Style

+ Why is this a Great Novel?
+ Literary masterpiece, with a final twist.

I just quit from an engineering consultant coporation last Friday, then probably to be a business owner with my friend later. When I walked around in the biggest bookstore "ESLITE" in Taipei last Sunday, the book " La Conscienza di Zeno" catch my eyes. Then, I decided to buy it without opening it ...

Lafcadio's adventures,1 review
Andre Gide

VINTAGE BOOKS @, 0000

Nobel Prize Winner Andre Gide at his best!

Anything but common place writing ... so original in thinking. I also loved the hop-scotching through all the European cities and meeting all the characters he ran into. Find it interesting that his books at the time became banned by the Vatican, but werent so many. Great read.

Willa Cather

Virago UK, 2006

Oddest, Most Wonderful Book I've Read in Years

I've read three of her other books and this is the oddest, and most wonderful, or perhaps I forget how O Pioneers, Death Comes for the ...

Max Frisch

Dalkey Archive Pr, 2006

My all time favorite book!

+ Im not me either. Are you?
+ I'm Not Miller

For half of my life (i.e. for 18 years up to now), Max Frisch's "Stiller" - which I've read in German - has been my favorite book, closely followed by "Gantenbein" by the same author, and I'm sure it will keep so for the rest of my life. Why? Well, the "Stiller" is a very rich book with several ...
