Mike Hammer, Private Eye - The Complete Series 15 reviews Mike Hammer
Tango Entertainment, 2005
Mike Hammer, Private Eye
+ very good Neo noir series ,,,, + A corrected review (see comments)
Recieved this item as a gift from my daughter since she knows I like the older police/detective shows. Naked City, Mannix, etc. I had never watched the show when it was on network television. This boxed set is great. Enjoyable to watch, comical spots but with well written plots. A great deal at ...

Max Payne 344 reviews
Windows | Rockstar Games, 2001
Why you should by Max Payne
+ I don't know about angels.... + Gritty aesthetics don't completely hide the straightforward gameplay
Max Payne is a truly glorious game. The other reviews have what i want to say except this. He is always constipated. Just look at his face in those screen shots. CONSTIPATION. In number 2 he's got rid of that though. Anyway, stop reading reviews and buy it!

Studio Works, 2005
Update on interactions with Studio Works
I bought this set because this was such an amazing series. I have fond memories of the series and the inventive storytelling. My disc 1 did have the problems with the episode "A Rightful Place" and there was no setup option on disc 4 to turn off the commentary. Thanks to Mike's review from January ...

Mosley Keeps Getting Better
+ Easily Remorseful + YOU KNOW IT DON'T COME EASY
Walter Mosley is a strong writer with a sense of humor. This book is the latest Easy Rowlins novel and the best one yet. It is easy to settle slowing into the grips of a Mosley novel. Suddenly one realizes you are trapped and do not want to put it down. I practically read this one right ...

Spenser: Pale Kings & Princes 1 review Robert Urich; Brooks; Sonja Smits; Robert Urich; Barbara Williams; Matthew Ferguson
Rykodisc, 2007
Don't Hire This Spenser - look for the 80's Spenser instead!
Aaarrrggghhh. The 80's series "Spenser: For Hire" was a treat. Robert Urich was hunky and intellectual, tough and tender. Avery Brooks was unmatchable as Hawk. Barbara Williams did a workman-like job as Spenser's main squeeze, Susan. But all that was in the original 80's series and, ...

Still Finding The Right Formula
+ Just Wonderful! + Best detective ever!
When most people remember this television show, I would bet that the first image that comes to mind is of a disheveled, seemingly lost detective who tricks villains into taking him lightly, then nabs them in the end in fantastic fashion. For the most part, that is exactly how the episodes of ...
