6 stars for content, standard binding, good introduction
+ One of her finest + Great!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this book at all. It is a very good read, in a very standard binding. You get a good introduction to it and some nice notes which are helpful.
This is set in contemporary times to Austen, and was the heroine which Austen least liked. Emma Woodhouse is ...

Sense and Sensibility (Modern Library Classics) 3 reviews Jane Austen
Modern Library, 2001
Splendidly entertaining
+ a sign of the times......
"Sense and Sensibility" is a witty, diverting book that was a pleasure to read. I was eager to read another novel by Jane Austen after so thoroughly enjoying "Pride and Prejudice", and was far from disappointed. Austen creates wonderful stories full of depth, elegance and an endless supply of ...

Emma (Modern Library Classics) 9 reviews Jane Austen
Modern Library, 2001
Austen's Emma is unusually attractive!
+ Excellent! + Light and fun
Jane Austen wrote some of the most remarkable romantic novels in English, and Emma is said to be written at the height of her powers. Like all her novels (Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility), the narrative is simple, straightforward and the story develops through seemingly commonplace ...
