Norton AntiVirus Mac 10.0 (Mac) 24 reviews
Mac OS X | Symantec, 2005
Had No Problems, Felt Protected! I feel more protected with an anti-virus program running on my Mac. I did get a worm in my machine at one time and it was mailing out of my e-mail address book to Windows users. After that, I bought the Norton Anti-Virus program. It stopped the worm and isolated a virus when I accidentally hit on a bad website one day. I used this to upgrade after I got Tiger. It has worked and I gave it ...

Norton AntiVirus Mac 10.0 - 5 User 1 review
Mac OS X | Symantec, 2005
Norton AntiVirus Mac 10.0 - 5 User If you install this product on a computer that has a previous, expired, version of Norton AntiVirus Mac 10.0 - 5 User, then the LiveUpdate will prompt you that your antivirus subscription has expired, and that in order to continue receiving virus definitions, you must buy a new subscription key. This has been frustrating, as I have found no way around this problem other then to do a fresh ...

Norton Systemworks for Mac 3.0 10 reviews
Macintosh | Symantec, 2003
Norton Upgrades to Mac OS 10.4 On the Symantec and Apple software web sites, Norton recently upgraded their Anti-Virus and Firewall programs to be compatible with Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). I just found this out (3/29/06) as I'm about to upgrade to a new Mac Mini (with Tiger), so I want to be able to upgrade my Norton to work with it!

Intego VirusBarrier X5 - Macintosh 1 review
Mac OS X | Intego
Virus Barrier This is a very fast product, and having it run in the background is a big plus.It is easier to set up and use than NAV. It does conflict with Time Capsule/Time Machine if you use it, but there is a very easy solution. Go to the Virus Barrier preferences, click on the Scanner icon, then put the "sparse barrier" file (from Time Machine) into your Trusted Zone and it will then run without conflicts.

Norton Antivirus 8.0 4 reviews
Macintosh | Symantec
Solid product Norton Antivirus 8.0 for Mac does what it's supposed to do and does it well. I can't speak about the OS 9 version, but the MacOS X version runs quietly in the background and has never caused any conflicts or problems on my OS X machines. The new version 9.0 also addresses the PC virus issue brought up by another reviewer here. Four stars for a very solid product.

.Mac 2.5 Retail [OLDER VERSION] 6 reviews
Macintosh | Apple Computer, 2004
.Mac is good bargain I've used .Mac since it's inception, and have received a lot for my money. Here's what I actually use it for:
1. I use Backup to back up my entire Documents folder daily, which includes my most important financial documents.
2. Homepage - I use iPhoto & .Mac to easily post my digital pictures to the web for friends & family to see. It's hard to exagerate how easy it is to post these ...

A Mac Expert's opinion I found this program to be excellent as an anti-virus program. Know it or not, the first Trojan Horse designed to attack macs has been found. V. 9.0.2 will protect your Mac against any virus you encounter.

NORTON ANTIVIRUS FOR MAC 7.0 1 review
Symantec
Unnecessary Sure, you can buy this software, but the question is, "Why would you want to?" There has not yet been a single Mac OS X virus in the wild. If you're a security nut who's concerned about a possible future virus, go buy it, but buyer beware. The only reason you would need antivirus software for your Mac would be if you were running Virtual PC for Windows, but even then, you would want a Windows ...

Norton SystemWorks 1.0 5 reviews
Macintosh | Symantec, 2000
Classic Norton: easy to use and effective. SystemWorks for Macintosh combines Norton Utilities with Norton Anti-Virus, Aladin Clean Sweep, and Datz Retrospect. The Norton suite installs effortlessly (easier then NAV for PC in my experience), you install Clean Sweep and Retrospect seperately off the same disk. SystemWorks has the familiar Symantec features: control panels (the Norton products can all be accessed through a main panel), ...

Norton AntiVirus 7.0 1 review
Macintosh | Symantec, 2000
NAV 7.0 Offers Good Protection for Macs "Norton AntiVirus 7.0" by Symantec offers Mac users good protection from most "known" computer viruses, not just the "macro" viruses which did infect some Macintosh systems before Microsoft made a patch available to MS Word users late last year. (Be sure to use the "Word Count" feature on any "old" MS Word files that were created prior to using NAV 7.0, or after installing the MS Word patch, when ...
