Works well.
Bought this to replace the original strap that came with my Polar strap. As stated in other reviews, this new strap has changed from the older one that came with my watch. It no longer attaches directly to the transmitter on both sides. Instead it attaches at the end with a metal flat hook. The hook goes into a loop that is made of some sort of rubber material.

My First Heart Rate Monitor
This is the first heart rate monitor I've ever purchased and it's extremely easy to use. All of the buttons are in the right places when you're running and the strap is pretty comfortable. Recommend this for anyone who cycles and runs like myself. The display is big enough to see if you want to glance at it quick on the run and the backlight works great for running at night.

Everything I wanted
I currently teach spinning and work out a few times a week. This HRM was everything I wanted and even more. The menu navigating is user friendly and I love that it gives options for different heart rate zones. I have the Polar FT40 HRM and syncing the watch via the flowlink has never failed. There has never been an alignment issue. The watch is aligned immediately after placing the watch on the flowlink. Data transfer starts automatically. I've never had a failure thus far. The usefulness of analyzing

Exactly what I wanted
Does exactly what I was looking for. Records heart rate, time, laps, etc. Has the option to expand to pace or gps, but isn't as expensive as some of the other higher end models. I've been able to figure out the screens and the setup without issue.

Not Too Basic and Not Too High Tech
Before settling on the Polar FT7 Heart Rate Monitor, I did a lot of research on the various types of HRM out there.
