You gotta double it.
I looked at the reviews and i read the problems people were having with this product. So instead of just following the instructions i modified them. I increased the boiling time to about 40 seconds, I cooled it for 5 seconds or less and bit into the mouthpiece for about a minute. it fit perfectly and i love it.

Great item super price
This is one great heart monitor. It is very accurate and no need to have the lousy chest strap on you to use it. It is very well built and easy to use. I will most likely would buy another one if and when this one breaks. Just one small thing. The picture looks like it has a gray band, it is really black. That is ok because I like the black better just thought you should know that part.

Does the job
This watch does exactly what I want, which is to give me an accurate heart rate reading during exercise. It works better than my old watch in a couple of ways. I can take a reading while still moderately active--with my old watch I had to stop completely. It also takes the reading much faster, so my heart rate isn't declining while I wait for the reading.

This item was as I expected it to be. You have to overtly press two keys at the same time to get a heart rate. This is a little inconvenient, however the alternative of wearing a band around your chest to get a continual read out of your heart rate has its own set of problems.
