SESAME STREET Don't Eat the Pictures (Metropolitan Museum of Art)20 reviews
Carlo Alban, Alan Arkin

Sony, 1995

Very Memorable
As a kid, I used to watch Sesame Street, a show that was by then a classic. My parents bought this film from the library and my sister and I watched it constantly. My dad still remembers songs from the film and my sister and I reminisce about it. The plot of the story is that the kids and the puppets get locked into a museum overnight. They get to tour the area without being bothered by ...

One of the finest...
This movie is so wonderful. I loved it when it originally came out in the early 90's then redisovered it after my own father passed away. This movie should be released to DVD and for all of those who missed it I'm sad for you this movie has all the right punch; comedy, darkness, and drama. If you get the chance watch this movie you will be so glad you did.

Sesame Street - Learning About Letters42 reviews
Carlo Alban, Alan Arkin

Sesame Street, 1996

A Household Favorite
'Learning About Letters', 'Learning About Numbers', and the '25th Anniversary Special' are the household favorites. This DVD was really well done. 'Learning About Numbers' is still my favorite. Maybe try both?

Joshua Then & Now4 reviews
James Woods, Gabrielle Lazure

Fox Home Entertainment, 1986

A Real Winner!
It has been years since I've seen a film I've enjoyed as much as this. Filled with mature humor (or immature depending upon your viewpoint) it abounds with warm, but quirky characters much like "Lost in Yonkers" but with an adult perspective. Stellar performances by Alan Arkin and James Woods, as well as the rest of the cast! I've ordered 3 copies to share with my closest family and friends.

Jerky Boys14 reviews

Walt Disney Video, 1996

Tough Guy Cinema
I don't know why I feel compelled to write a review for a movie this old and played out and forgotten except for the most die-hard Jerky Boys fans, of which I sincerely hope I may not be considered (but secretly know I am). The Jerky Boys are prank callers extraordinaire, back in the day before *69 and prevalent Caller ID ruined all the fun. Using several personas, including Frank Rizzo, an irate ...

Terror in the Aisles11 reviews
Donald Pleasence, Nancy Allen

Universal Studios, 1992

Thoroughly Entertaining!!!!!
I recently came across Terror in the Aisles in my local video store and rented it thinking it was a different movie. What I got was an awesome compilation of some of the older, classic horror films. Terror in the Aisles is hosted by the Late Great Donald Pleasance and Nancy Allen. They take us through over 70 horror flicks in just under 90 minutes. Some of these movies include, Halloween, Jaws, ...

The Best of all Sesame Street
This DVD is the best of all Sesame Street DVDs. I love it from start to finish. My toddler really took off with her number abilities after watching this. Count has always been my favorite character.

Seven Per Cent Solution14 reviews
Alan Arkin, Vanessa Redgrave

Universal Studios, 1996

Perfect Pastiche
From the opening to the closing credits, filled with illustrations that originally accompanied Doyle's stories in the Strand, the details of the movie are painstakingly accurate when compared to those in the canon. This is one non-canonical Holmes story that exists in the same world as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. The movie takes the liberty of assuming that all of Dr. Watson's ...

This Great Video is in Memory of Jim Henson
Jim Henson's greatest and oldest creation has his own video. Steve Whitmire does Kermit in this video but the clips that where shown in the video was Jim Henson. Jim Henson wasn't just the voice for Kermit, He was the hart and soul of Kermit. Jim Henson (Creator of The Muppets) Died at the age of 54 1936 - 1990. In the Song "Frog of the year" When Grover was telling everyone what Kermit wants to ...

Skyrockets to the top of my list as one of the most exciting family films of all time...
I remember as a young boy absolutely loving this movie. At every sleepover this movie was mandatory. I probably saw `The Rocketeer' a record fifty times as a child and then, sadly, I grew up. In fact I haven't seen this movie in almost ten years. Well, I guess I should say `hadn't' as in that I hadn't seen this movie in almost ten years, because thankfully I caught this movie on Encore the ...

Sesame Street - Fiesta!47 reviews

great video for 18 month old
This really keeps my 18 month's interest- the songs are catchy and entertaining. It has Linda Rondstat and Celia Cruz! It is a fun video he wants to watch over and over- it lasts about 30 minutes. It is not an educational video per se, although he is repeating the words in spanish (like the numbers)..it is pure entertainment and fun.

Sesame Street - Do the Alphabet123 reviews

Sesame Street, 1996

My daughter loves it!
My 18 month old is obsessed with letters and the alphabet, so I purchased this DVD. She enjoys Sesame Street as well, so I thought this would be good. She is GLUED to this video whenever I put it on! She dances when they sing the alphabet. I would have liked to see more of the old school characters on this video, like Grover, Oscar, Ernie, Bert and Cookie Monster (Ernie and Cookie Monster are ...

Sesame Street - Monster Hits!16 reviews

My son's favourite!
This is by far the best Sesame Street DVD by Sony Wonder. My 19 month old loves it, especially Frazzle. He repeatedly asks for Frazzle by going "Arghhh" and shaking his head. It is also nice to hear some of the old songs I had in my Sesame collection, like Fur, Frazzle, and C is for Cookie. 10/10

Sesame Street - Getting Ready to Read5 reviews

Sesame Phonics!
I LOVE this video. It is the only one I have seen which includes sounding out words. It made me remember how much phonics Sesame Street used to teach. I've been watching the show and haven't seen any phonics. This video has a lot of old clips and some 'new' live action to tie it together. It is fifteen years old and shows it, but I wish there were more letter sounds and phonics offerings ...

The Russians ard Coming. the Russians are Coming
I saw first saw this movie when I was in the sixth grade. In the middle of the Cold War, just the title was a scary thing for a kid. I sat through it twice before leaving the theater. It not only was hilarious, but eased my mind about that time of world crisis. Seeing it again was so much fun and I wonder if such a movie could be made in this time of war and crisis in the world.

Elmo's World - The Great Outdoors 200318 reviews

Sesame Street, 2003

Entertaining and Educational
My toddler son really loves Elmo and he loves this video. I have to say that I enjoy it also. It teaches about the outdoors including animals, seasons and the weather. The count comes along and even teaches some counting. As a parent, I really appreciate videos that are entertaining and educational for my children to watch. And even more, I appreciate the ones that adults can enjoy also ...

CHU CHU AND THE PHILLY FLASH1 review
Alan Arkin, Carol Burnett

CBS/FOX, 1982

Great comedy
This is an utterly delightful comedy, featuring Carol Burnett at her best. The Carmen Miranda impersonation is in itself worth the price of the film. Unfortunately, the movie's reputation has been damaged by Leonard Maltin, perhaps the most superficial and unreliable of all film critics. Buy the film: you'll love it.

Must see before studying at UAG!
If you are thinking of studying medicine at the Universidad Autonima de Guadalajara, you must see this film first! Having been there, I can tell you there are schools like this. Rumor in Guadalajara is that this film is banned, and the witer went to UAG. The setting is fanciful, but everything else is a fantastic portrait of the administration, students, and faculty at UAG. UAG has better ...

Hillarious prank calls!
Man, this is a hillarious video full of hillarious prank calls. All five of the Jerkey boys succeeded in this movie. The Jerkey Boys creators went on to announce on a tour bus also and were announce in a groecery store with the voices that made me take a big wizz in my pants. Now, I want this video for special occasions.

HANDS DOWN BEST VIDEO FOR TODDLERS!!!!!
This was my eldest daughter's absolute favorite video when she was two. I was surprise to find that my second daughter (13 months) also loves it. She screams with delight every time we put it in the DVD player. I'm not sure what makes this video so irresistible, but both of my girls love it more than any other, including other sesame street and elmo's world videos.
