Clue (1985) [VHS] 356 reviews Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry
Paramount, 1991
Wonderfully witty and campy I've loved this underrated movie for years and can't believe it took me this long to buy it. For those of you looking for a funny, absurd, and all around entertaining film, "Clue" has your number.
The actors were superbly chosen for their roles, and this is my favorite Tim Curry movie of all time. The dialogue is by turns cheesy, witty, hilarious, and full of puns. The acting alternates ...

Back to Future 2 [VHS] 111 reviews Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd
Universal Studios, 1992
We gotta go back in time to save the future that we messed up when someone went back to the past and screwed it up. Yep. The day after Marty gets back from 1955, Doc leaves in the time machine to go the future to the year 2015, only to return seconds later (though much more time has passed for Doc). Something terrible happens in the future to Marty's son. Thankfully Marty and his son are the spitting image of each other so Doc has come up with a plan to have Marty take the place of his son for a few minutes to make ...

Who Framed Roger Rabbit [VHS] 198 reviews Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd
Walt Disney Video, 1995
A real classic...so where's the blu-ray? 4.7 stars
Roger Rabbit was one of the great eye candy surprises of my life when I saw it in the theatre in '88; it truly deserves to be seen on a big screen. Soooo, it really needs a great blu-ray transfer. Hello, Bob Zemeckis and studio...
One thing many fans of this film miss is that it is in fact a very cleverly-disguised conspiracy film; if you know anything about the history of L.A. ...

At Last I remember watching this movie when I was a kid and up till now I didn't remember the name of it but I remembered the plot and parts of the movie stuck in my head. At Last I found it and it won't drive me nuts anymore trying to figure it out. I will be buying this movie very soon. I absolutely loved this movie as a child!

To Be Or Not to Be (1983) [VHS] 33 reviews Mel Brooks, Anne Bancroft
20th Century Fox, 1997
"He's world famous in Poland!" This is a movie which has quickly become one of my favorite Mel Brooks comedies. A remake of the 1942 classic starring Jack Benny & Carole Lombard, "To Be Or Not To Be" is a sparkling production starring Brooks & his late great wife, the wonderful Anne Bancroft, in the title roles of the Bronskis. Running a popular theatre troupe in 1939 Poland, their idyllic existence is shattered by the Nazi ...

Back to the Future [VHS] 211 reviews Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd
Universal Home Video, 1989
Back to the Future Looking back nearly 25 years ago and it's hard to believe that Back to the Future almost never got made. It doesn't seem even slightly conceivable that Back to the Future almost didn't get made because almost all but one studio thought it wasn't risque enough to compete with other teen comedies like Revenge of the Nerds, Porky's, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. (That other studio was Disney, ...

Horror of Dracula [VHS] 140 reviews Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee
Warner Home Video, 1993
Horror of Dracula (1958)-Color remake. I first saw the Horror of Dracula in 1958 when it opened in New York at the old LUXOR Theater in the Bronx. The movie was very well received by many horror film fans including myself and the addition of wide screen color literally added to the scope of this Dracula remake by Hammer films. Note, this film is also available in DVD form in many collections.
The scenes which I found particularly ...

Miracles [VHS] 5 reviews Tom Conti, Teri Garr
Wonderfuly Fun Movie This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's sweet and unassuming and just a good time. Had a hard day at the office and need a break-kind of movie.
There really isn't all that much more to say - I know some people hate it - they probably just need to lighten up and enjoy the story. It's not supposed to be a study in the best acting, direction, or effects - it's just about a good time.

The Swan [VHS] 17 reviews Grace Kelly, Alec Guinness
MGM (Warner), 1994
To glide like a Swan or To waddle like a Goose When I bought the video by accident, I was expecting a cliche-type of movie. The kind of sugary set-ups Hollywood dishes to its innocent 1950's audience. But as the movie progressed, this assumption was immediately put in doubt. Halfway through it, I was so engrossed by the characters and the story, that I had no idea how it would all end and who would get the girl. That's how well-written ...
