Clarification - Running Time Error
I have this VHS edition and when I had purchased the DVD special edition, thought I was getting the same thing. But, not so...contrary to the specs. listed by Amazon for this VHS, the running time is actually 164 minutes (not 154). It evidently is the ONLY edition which is that long as it includes the 10 minutes of extended scenes. None of the DVD versions available include those extended ...

Mask (Director's Cut, Widescreen)
Rusty Dennis is the mother of Rocky, a seriously deformed but extremely intelligent and emotionally warm child. Rusty is a no-nonsense mother whose wild lifestyle is often at odds with her tenderness and protectiveness towards Rocky. She is determined that Rocky be given the same chances and happiness that everyone else takes for granted. The true story of Rocky Dennis (Eric Stoltz) is a ...

The best of all Little Women films
This film is nothing short of superb. Susan Sarandon is flawless as Marmie, and Winona Ryder is an excellent Jo. Gabriel Byrne is perfect as the professor. The period settings and costumes are authentic (I'm a history teacher) without romanticizing days gone by. Best of all is the film's feminist sensibility. Some have criticized this as a modern overlay on a book from another era, but ...

THIS MOVIE KILLS ME!!!
I saw "Fluke" in the theater with my girlfriend and it took all my restraint not to cry in front of her. But I did anyway. "Rudy" and the ending of "Field of Dreams" have contained some of the most emotional moments ever for me. But "Fluke" has more of them and so many poignant, beautiful, touching scenes. I was choked up through the whole film.

Tells it like it is!
As a person with severe mobility impairment, I viewed this picture with interest. I give it my fullest recommendation. It is definitely the best motion picture I have seen on the subject of serious disability and the adaptations required by those who deal with it. Some succeed, some don't, but the movie tells its story with accuracy and compassion.

Still Some Kind of Wonderful...
John Hughes proves he still had the right stuff to make a superb movie about teenagers with 1987's "Some Kind of Wonderful". Eric Stolz stars as Keith, a sensitive artistic kid from the wrong side of the tracks, who works after school as an auto mechanic and who has a monumental crush on pretty and popular classmate Amanda (Lea Thompson). Mary Stuart Masterson is pitch perfect as tough tom boy ...

Intelligent and provacotive
Mr Jealousy is a film that isn't for the mainstream. Maybe because it is very well written and the acting is earthy and sharp. Not for the masses; the dialog is very intelligent and the story is sincere yet laced with humor. If you're looking for that feel of an independent film that would make a European film enthusiast smile, this is a good one. If you like the Last Days of Disco or Kicking and ...

Fun and Fantastic Trip Back To The 80's
I can't believe I bought a cheap VHS of this movie only to find out they now have it on DVD. I'm buying it anyway. I think the acting is fantastic and the thrills will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's also fun to see James Spader, Eric Stoltz and Lori Laughlin in their younger years! I find Shannon Presby hot now that I'm older. This movie always makes me want to work! I can't ...

The Original Hippies
Haunted Summer is an amazingly obscure film given that it was so well filmed and acted. All four of the leading roles are spot on with historical knowledge and these actors show a true brilliance which allows the viewer to fall right into the summer of 1816. I can't help but ponder the similarities between the lives of many English romantic poets and the hippie culture of the late 1960's. This ...

A wonderfully anarchic sexy little fable.
This movie looks like a lovely fluffly cake, but inside it is filled with bugs and bizarre things! There is a great deal of sex in this movie, and it all feels feverish and vital and right. This same director did a film I saw in college called "WR MYSTERIES OF AN ORGANISM" and it was one of the strangest films I've ever seen- this film is like the nice little sister fable relative of it. ...

Improbable? Yes Great? Yes
This is a bank heist movie. You know, there's a safecracker, blueprints, a plan. Problem is the gang doing the heist is made up of assorted druggies and wackos. Wackiest of all is the gang leader, Eric (Jean-Hughes Anglade). Anglade put about 200% into this role. Injected into the robbery is Zed (Eric Stoltz), Eric's childhood friend. Apparently they were close, but they haven't seen each ...

Sort of based on a true story
The movie is "sort of" based on a true story. None of the things that happened to the Memphis Belle and her crew in the film actually happened to the real plane and crew, nor do the characters in the movie much resemble the real crew of the plane. But having said that, in many ways the film is chillingly accurate. Just about everything you see in the film did happen in one form or other. Many ...

Cowabunga, Dude!
I saw this about 15 years ago, I think, but my head is full of saltwater. Eddie Deezen's best role. Some suprisingly experimental shots. Lots of T&A, gratuitously thrown in your face (literally, bouncing boobs.) This odd jiggle comedy has a lot going for it for a jiggle comedy.
