What fun...with my own reservations...
I have to admit that a few things about this film disappointed me. The acting was better than expected, and the script was somewhat literate. Other than that, this was all the schlock, bad F/X I expect from films of this genre & time period. It's interesting to know that this film was released by Allied Artists, which was a studio neck-to-neck with American-International for the drive-in crowd. ...

BEST EVER OF ITS TYPE
The first "modern" art history series and still the very best. It is often imitated, never equalled. And now in remastered DVD form, it is even BETTER. Amazing. Truly a pinnacle. Perfection on earth does exist. And here it is.

The Best Concert Ever To Be Filmed
This Concert is defiantly a privilege to own on DVD. Some of Broadway's best female stars in History, all together in one concert is unbelievable. You have the great Linda Eder reaching higher notes then you can imagine in "Man Of La Mancha", Elaine Stritch telling everybody to Rise in "The Ladies Who Lunch", Liza Minnelli telling you she ain't like some people in "Some People", and Lea DeLaria ...

A classic!
I live in the same town the Blues call home so I have seen this numerous times. Every time I have viewed I am even more in awe of how these men and machines perform! Until this order I have only viewed Magic of Flight via IMAX. I ordered this as a Father's Day gift for for my dad, a naval aviator. I expected to be somewhat disappointed as only having seen on the IMAX but that wasn't the ...

Ernie Pyle would have been very proud of this movie because it is a very realistic portrayal of the war.

Not the best version but still charming.
I've always loved this operetta but this rendition of it could have been better. The characters lacked the energy and sincerity I'm used to seeing in this very charming and happy musical story. It was nonetheless quite enjoyable. Betsy S.

*THE* Definitive Video Documentary on Wine and Winemaking
It would be hard to imagine a video documentary surpassing this one in either depth or scope, not to mention in the quality of its production values. The series is hosted by Hugh Johnson, internationally famous wine expert, author, and, as it turns out, engaging raconteur. He travels the world to give us the story of wine. In the first instalment, he visits the Caucasus mountains, where "the ...

Catch your breath while you can, this one's a runaway train.
The DVD transfers are very good remasters with both wide screen and full screen versions included in the package. (Watch the wide screen version). From the opening scene with Dr. Miles Bennell (Kevin McCarthy) screaming, "You've got to believe me, I'm not insane" to the horrifying conclusion, this film wastes not a single frame away from the pace that never stops. Dr. Bennell is finding ...

The fun begins when the Kidsongs Kids and the Biggles decide to put on a show! Join them as they rehearse, dress up in fabulous costumes and dance, dance, dance! A young magician amazes the crowd, the boys put on their blue suede shoes for an Elvis routine and the girls show off their tap dancing skills. It's toe-tapping sing-along fun from the beginning until the curtain goes down!

Black Sabbath (1964)-Old Time Horror including Karloff!
Black Sabbath (1964) was a great five star memory for me that goes back to the summer of 64 when I first noticed it playing at the old LUXOR in the Bronx. It was a wonderful film and played out in three parts featuring the great Boris Karloff. As soon as I noticed it would be showing at a midnight opening I went out to see it that very evening by myself. Karloff introduced all three stories and ...

Sexy psychological drama
One of director Hippolyte's better direct-to-video (or is it Cinemax After Dark?) features, concerning a sexy woman (Delia Shepperd) and her innocent twin. The twin decides to take a walk on the wild side, which leads to you-know-what. Decent performances and an attractive cast make this film rather enjoyable. Very hot sex scene with Shepperd and Nels Van Patten is an added bonus.

I recently purchased this video and I'm pleasantly surprised at the originality of it. It's basically a documentary of history. Takes you back to the beginning. Overall, it's freak'n outstanding. It's dated up to 2002. Wished they could have included 'Jaborwaci' who in my opinion is just incredible.

Excellent Version of a Timeless Fairy Tale
The first version I saw starred Lesley Ann Warren and Stuart Damon. Not being a viewer of soap operas, I never saw him before this movie filmed as a play, but I did know of Celeste Holmes who played the fairy godmother. I think my favorite number was watching Warren pantomining the various people she pretended to be while in her little corner. Then I saw Brandy take on the role and loved Jason ...

Great for toddlers
We purchased this video for our 3 yr old twins. They love it! The DVD auto starts and auto replays, so you don't have to do anything other than pop it in the machine for them. However, I would recommend purchasing more than one title, unless you like listening to the same 10 songs for hours. Songs include: Hound Dog Talk to the Animals Five little monkeys Racoon & Possum Over in the ...

5 stars for Gilmour alone!
I bought this DVD because I had heard David Gilmour of Pink Floyd plays guitar on it. I like PM, but I'm not a huge fan. I was impressed with both. PM has a great singing voice, and his choice of songs here is great. As to Gilmour, he doesn't feature too prominantly in the beginning, but as the DVD goes on he gets great camera time and it is awesome to hear him playing a different style of music ...
