A TAILOR-MADE ROLE FOR CHOW
I've always been a hard-rock fan of the God Of Gamblers series. The original movie shot the coolest actor to fame all around the world spurned lots of other copycats. Stephen Chow was the Saint of Gamblers on his own, then in GoG 2, he met Knight Of Gamblers Andy Lau (Knife Chan) and became the God's disciple. In GoG Return, there was one extrememly memorable line...when the God said to ...

One of THE most memorable, and moving, film EVER!
One of THE most memorable films I have ever seen! I think I saw it first in the early '80's and made a vhs tape of it off the Satellite so I could watch it again and again, and share it with friends. Dennis Christopher was great. Was just watching his earlier stand-out performance in "Breaking Away" and was distressed to find out that "Don't Cry..." was NOT on DVD. What will it take?

Modern Day Ninja!
I've had this film on VHS for quite a few years (under the alternate title of "Deadly Life of a Ninja"). It was one of the first ninja/kung fu films I ever purchased, and even in pan n' scan, I thought it was a blast. Unintentional comedy is evident in a few scenes, most notaby in the opening montage of Ninja history and training. For some reason, female mud wrestling is a secret Ninja skill ...

Ho hum.
The production of Francis Drake consists of a narration, some live action monologues, beautiful costumes, and nice close-ups of antique maps. The acting by the Francis Drake character, and other characters, consists mainly in a number of poses. There is little real dialogue, just mainly monologues by the actors. Francis Drake's speech is somewhat easy to understand, but there is a young, ...

After watching "Caretaker", I was hooked
I'd watch an episode of Star Trek if there was nothing else on to watch, but for some reason, something about "Voyager" intrigued me. After watching "Caretaker", I was instantly hooked. Kate Mulgrew makes a superb showing as Trek's first female captain. "Voyager" has many firsts that have never before been done in Star Trek, such as being so far away from home. Other episodes have lost contact ...

If you liked the movie, you'll love the animated version.
Men in Black is perhaps the best movie ever made, in my opinion. It was funny, original, and a ton of fun. The animated series featured here display all of that, but stretch it to the limits. The characters have all had their movie personas exaggerated, with hilarious results. Plus, it's certainly more kid-friendly than the movie. The two episodes featured on this video are two of my personal ...

"You are first and foremost a wife and mother."
Filmed in 1973, this Joseph Losey-directed adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's play feels fragmented, its message sacrified to the lovely cinematography, stunning costumes, and then-controversial star. In Ibsen's play, Nora gradually changes from being a brainless doll to a woman who realizes that she must leave her repressive husband and her children if she is ever to exist as a real person. Jane ...

Remarkable
Although the plot of this movie is very familiar (a lone female assassin finally starts to feel true emotions when she meets a "normal" guy and then decides that she wants to leave the business) "Beyond Hypothermia" sets a high standard for run-of-the-mill assassin films. There is a superb balance between drama and action in this movie. The dramatic portions never come across as ...

Fantastic animated adaptation to the movie.
Over the years I have seen many sci-fi movies adapted for Saturday morning cartoon television. MIB is one of the best. Why? Because it's done smart. The show wasn't taInted with any of the trappings you normally see on what most TV execs would label a kid's show. The script was well written, the animation was stylistic and of good quality, and the voice talents were excellent. Combine all this ...

Must see from Season One
This episode is one of the more important ones from the first season of Voyager, and is important to see because it sets up a couple of very important future storylines. Before this episode, the character of Seska was merely annoying. But this is the episode where we come to really hate her....and begin to plumb the depths of her evil, manipulative personality. I think that this is also an ...

Awesome videos! The first show was... the long so long syndrome! Jay blows up a scralbian and so all scralbians are after him for life! Then, in The Irritable Bow-Wow syndrome, Frank swallows this ball that acts as a black hole, sucking everything in whithin 3 miles! Thats volume 1! In volume two, IT starts off with The Neuralyzer syndrome! Jay accidently "flashy-thingys" Kay, and Kay thinks ...

THE episode for Janeway and Torres fans
This is the quintessential Voyager episode for those who can't decide who they love best, Kathryn or B'Elanna. It's fun to watch these two women working together on scientific and engineering challenges, and to see their relationship just beginning. And this episode is based on a scientific anomoly, rather than political or social theme involving Kazons, etc. Fun for those who like the really ...

"Voyager" gets the other end of the Prime Directive
In "Prime Factors," Episode 10 (Aired: March 20, 1995) of the series, "Voyager" visits Sikaris, a planet known throughout the Delta Quadrant for its hospitality so that the crew can enjoy some shore leave. It turns out that the Sikarians love to hear visitors tell stories about far off places and adventures. Harry Kim (Garrett Wong) ends up telling the story of "Voyager" to Eudana (Yvonne ...
